Workshop

Semiconductor and Hybrid Nanophotonics

During the workshop, the main emphasis will be put on the research of various novel semiconductor or hybrid nanomaterials and the design of nanostructure-based compact, low cost and high performance  optoelectronic devices for applications in optoelectronics and telecommunication technologies, photovoltaics, biomedicine and micro-facbrication. Topics will include novel types of nanostructures based on classical III-V compound semiconductors and wide bandgap materials; novel hybrid nanostructures based on colloidal semiconductor nanocrystals of different dimensionality (quantum dots, rods, and nanoplatelets); new methods for fabrication of colloidal (semiconductor, metal and carbon) nanoparticles and hybrid nanostructures based on them; innovative design, growth by modern epitaxy techniques and characterization of nanostructures for applications in nanophotonics (lasers, LEDs, photodetectors, solar cells etc.).
